Taste of Dorset Awards 2012 now open…

The Taste of Dorset Awards 2012 was launched this week and the Hive and its sister café, the Watch House are both entering the awards in theBest Café or Tearoom category.

The finalists for this category are chosen by our customers and supporters, by placing your vote for us online. The top three nominations with the most votes will be the finalists who will then be judged by the sponsors, BV Dairy, with the winners being announced at the awards dinner on September 7th. To place your vote, please click here, naming the Hive Beach Café AND the Watch House Café in the ‘Best Cafe or Tearoom’ category.

In another category, ‘Best Dorset Recipe’ our very own Tim Attrill has been chosen as one of the three finalists who will be taking part in the Final Cook-Off this Saturday as part of the Bridport Food Festival.

The Hive Beach Cafe has a good record in the Taste of Dorset Awards, winning both the ‘Best Fish & Chips Café’ and the ‘Best Seafood Business’ back in 2010 and runner up in 2011.

    I have not tasted better fish anywhere and in such happy, relaxed surroundings not to mention the wider vista from whence the fish originated. Wonderful! Wonderful!
