The Watch House Café News Release

Watch this space … !

“The transformation is nearly complete,” says Steve Attrill owner of the newly refurbished Watch House Café on the beach at West Bay. In fact, the café has been virtually rebuilt.

Over the winter months a team of local businesses have been busy installing a new kitchen, painting, decorating, moving walls around, laying outside decking and generally giving the old place a total makeover. What has emerged is a seaside café with all the trademarks of Steve’s award winning Hive Beach Café at Burton Bradstock coupled with a fabulous view of the Jurassic Coast.

The café is set to open in the first week of April. It has substantially more seating and the menus, to be revealed shortly, will reflect the quality of Dorset produce offering a range of dishes to appeal to everyone who relishes life on a beach.

“We’ve got lots of ideas for the summer,” says Steve. “The café is looking great so watch this space to hear more about West Bay’s newest place to chill out, grab a coffee and cake or go gourmet.”

For those of us who can only visit you twice a year (I live in the Midlands) and love your “cafe” I wondered if you have ever been asked about the possibility of a webcam to view the area? It would be wonderful to be able to see the beautiful views that you are so lucky to see every day.
    Pleeeze.
    Sincerely
    Janet Archer
