The Hive Beach Café is located right on the beach at Burton Bradstock on the Jurassic Coast.
With far reaching views across Lyme Bay and Chesil Bank it's the perfect location to enjoy fresh, local seafood, homemade cakes or just a simple cup of tea.
Summer is here – time for fresh, local seafood and relaxed, open air dining.
We’re committed to using fresh, locally sourced seafood - when available we serve fish straight from the very shoreline you’ll be eating on.
We offer a wide selection of cakes, biscuits and take away treats. All homemade by Melanie and her team at the Hive Beach Micro Bakery based in West Bay.
We’re happy to accommodate large parties of diners and we’re dog friendly but we don’t take reservations so it’s advisable to arrive a little early for lunch as we do get busy.
Make the most of the long summer evenings and join us as we extend our opening hours until 9pm. Perfect for enjoying a relaxed dinner by the beach.
Open for spring and summer, weather depending. From the tables outside the Beach Hut you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lyme Bay. We serve Lovingtons ice cream from nearby Somerset and our house blend of Dibar coffee. We even have a signature ice cream flavour – Hive Honeycomb! Come up soon after lunch to beat the summer queue.

Our awnings give us the flexibility to have sheltered dining in the winter and open air dining in the summer. You can enjoy sea views from all of our 140 seats.
